call every parent dreads and discovers that his son has been
missing for weeks. As he relentlessly searches for his only son, he uncovers
two hidden subcultures right under his nose -- in the heart of Washington, D.C.
One seems to be a harmless but addictive game that D.C. workers
play on their lunch breaks and during happy hour, but the other is a
cult-like sub-culture of clans that live by their own rules and think
nothing of killing anyone who stands in their way.
Ignoring threats from the clans he continues to dig, finding
disturbing connections between the two worlds, and digging himself into more
and more trouble -- with the mysterious clans, and with the
law.

The title didn’t prepare me for the story to come. The Hidden Village starts with a father, Geof Franklin, who goes on a search for his missing son, Josh. During the search, what Geof uncovers will change his life forever.
The author has created a whole new hidden world of gaming and fighting clans placed inside our world. The story pulls you in from the start, and I liked the twists and turns. The one part I found a bit
confusing was the explanation of the clans, but as the story unfolded it all came to light in its own time. The Lord of the Rings fans will be delighted with this book. It encompasses part fantasy, part sci-fi, gaming, the components of a thriller, and ends with you thinking something like this hidden world could really exist.
I highly recommend The Hidden Village by Author Greg Krehbiel, and I’m looking forward to the next book.
