5 Stars – Highly Recommended Read!
Love’s Sorrow is a bittersweet story that drew me in from the start. As I read Anne’s and Gavin’s story I was struck with the knowledge I love stories with a historical feel, and this story will give you the sense of reading history. The life of a servant girl back in the day was a tough life to live, but then add in the snobbery of the social elite of London and the story deepens.
There is so much I could say about this book, but I don’t want to give too much away. This story was written well, had some twist and turns, and as in real life a plethora of emotions, some heartbreaking came into play.
Since this is the first book of a series, I am looking forward to the rest of Anne’s story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Love’s Sorrow. Five well deserved stars for Ms. Rochenski for writing such a memorable book.
