Rachel Masters has had a crush on her sexy boss for three years. As far as she knows the millionaire architect is oblivious to her, walking past her desk every morning with barely a nod in her direction. But when the power goes out and they're trapped in an elevator, the truth comes out in one steamy episode designed to take Rachel's mind off being claustrophobic.

James White doesn't have a crush on his receptionist. He wants her, it's as simple as that. He senses there's a real beauty hidden beneath the granny glasses and professional suits. And he plans to find out how hot she is as soon as the chance presents itself.

What to do when you have a bad case of claustrophobia, along with a bad case of wanting your boss, and find yourself trapped in an elevator with him? Try a little love in the elevator, of course!

Up in Flames is a short story that you want more of, especially since the story was steamy from the beginning. The author gave us a one night glimpse into the life of two
characters. Rachel, the sultry vixen behind the pent up clothing and glasses,
and the hot boss, James. While Rachel may get hot flashes thinking about her
boss, she’s not so sure he notices her, but once their stuck inside the company
elevator, James reveals he has always wanted to get to the naked truth of the woman
behind the professional attire.

My recommendation: Make it a night of guilty pleasure. Start with a hot bubble bath, then move on to some melt in your mouth milk chocolate, perhaps a great glass of Merlot, and a white hot short story by Tory Richards that will be sure to deliver the promise of going up in flames.

What happens when the Master turns the tables and wants his submissive to be his Domme? Well, I’m not going to tell you. I think you will need to read this lovely little short for yourself.

I thought the idea behind this story, being the switch in the power play roles, was a good one.  The Master’s Submission is a well written BDSM short story, and as many short stories go, it is always hard to make a real solid connection to the characters, because many times, the reader needs more background to find that true connect with them. However, the author did a great job at painting a picture of the inner anxiety of Bethany as she works to find her inner dominatrix in hopes to please her master.

Short are difficult, because as a reader you want more, but I imagine the author is telling the “piece” of the story they want their readers to know about. I hate reading bad reviews based solely on the reasoning it was short, yet as a reviewer, how do I review it fairly? First, I can’t compare a short to a novel, so as a reader/reviewer I didn’t try. I asked these questions. Was the writing good? Did I enjoy this story? Did I want more of the story? Yes. Yes. And Yes. But wanting more means I was vested in this story enough that
wanting to read more can’t be considered a bad thing.

Master’s Submission was a fun, engaging, sexy read.

This was an erotic short story with just enough of a tale spin in it. Ms. Prince did her usual of writing an emotional love story. So many emotions she presents with losing someone and losing them and finding another that loves you even though you don't right away see it. The author puts you at a place where you feel the emotions so strong that you may find yourself crying or on the verge of. Your heart may hurt so bad for Alexa's feeling she can no longer go on. The pain is enormous and the writer makes you feel it with every word she writes, right from the beginning. The character, Angelo is an angel from above. He loves her so much, he just wants her and her alone. When you have no reason to go on, or at least you don't think so, the author has given you a reason from above.

ON ANGELWINGS should be read by all adults, especially if you need that intervention to go on. It may hurt to read, especially if you have just lost someone you loved with your whole heart.

A frantic phone call from her estranged sister sends Jesse Peña rushing home to Brownsville, Texas, only to find that Alicia —seven months pregnant— has vanished. Jesse is convinced her brother-in-law, Marcus Vega, is a killer but getting the police to listen isn’t easy, especially when Marcus announces that Jesse and her sister are borderline schizophrenic.

Detective Michael Cisneros is reluctant to believe Jesse's allegation. After all, Marcus Vega is a prominent citizen with a tight alibi, and this isn’t the first time she’s charged him with murder. When Michael is accused of allowing a personal relationship with Jesse to cloud his judgment, he is forced to accept what she cannot—Marcus Vega is innocent. Jesse’s refusal to give up will risk more than her life, it will test her sanity as well.

House of Cards by Terri Molina was an excellent read. The story line flows really well, and is
written in such a way that it pulls the reader in, the result of which being that you keep wanting to know such things as - 'What's going to happen next?' -  ''Is she crazy?' - etc.

The author's use of the Spanish language to enhance nteractions and expound upon character's heritage is very appropriate, the meanings of which are easily interpreted, due to the author's keen use of expressed emotion, by someone like myself, who otherwise would need a translating dictionary.

Overall, I see no reason to not award this book 5 stars.

Abby's Twin Mates by Darlette Clarke

After her grandmother's untimely death, Abby Morgan returns to the small Southern town that was once her home to handle the affairs that have been entrusted to her. Shortly after arriving, Abby comes into contact with the ruggedly handsome Mitch Beaumont and is seeing double after she
meets Mitch's identical twin brother, Taylor.

Abby discovers that everything in Midnight Creek isn't as it seems, and after a couple of hot encounters together, Abby is drawn more than ever to the twins. They make her feel special and wanted. It's something she's never had before in her life, and with them in her bed, it leads to her craving more pleasure from them. But when her life is suddenly put into peril, she must rely on the twins to save her.

Romance, mystery, and intrigue fill the air around Abby. Nothing is as she had ever known it before. But hey, this is Midnight Creek in Midnight County after all, where convention is tossed straight outta the window.

Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among siblings.

Note: This book is written in one point of view.

Title: Abby's Twin Mates
Author: Darlette Clarke
Publisher: Siren Publishing
Genre: MFM Ménage/Paranormal
Reviewed by Maven

Abby’s Twin Mates was one of those books that left me teetering with the question, “Did I really
love this book or not?” It was obviously the first book in a series to come, and  I suppose after some thought, I edged on over to the conclusion that it may not  be love, maybe more of a like. Now here comes the “but” moment. BUT, there were some problems that were a little hard to overlook.

The author left some things unanswered. Because of that, it feels like an unfinished read. Along with that sticky point, the heroine wasn’t exactly relatable, and her quick acceptance of the paranormal without any real moments of questioning her own sanity or perhaps even a brief freak-out moment, didn’t happen. And then there are the twins… It’s one thing to be a strong alpha, and another to come across as a bit of an ass.

As a reader I want to be pulled into the story, and love my heroes and heroines. For me, that love moment just didn’t happen with Abby, Mitch, and Taylor.

I believe the author is talented, and has started something with Midnight County that could be built upon, and turned into something great.
