After a devastating fiasco on her wedding day, still-single Star Lite longs for peace and quiet to nurse her broken heart. Out of the Ordinary is the first in a series of adventures to come. It’s original, and a cute, quick read about a school teacher from earth who is struggling with the aftermath of a relationship gone bad, perhaps some dissolution with her career, and a whole lot of depression. After receiving a box from the father of a former student, she finds herself whisked away to another planet where she meets a human man, Adam, and some strange inhabitants.
This was my first time reading this author, and there were some great moments in the book, yet at times the story felt a bit rushed. However, I’m sure that can be worked out as the author develops the series. The relationship that builds between Star and Adam was written well, and there’s an
extra bonus of twist and turns with an ending that will leave you wanting to know more.
For those who like Sci-Fi, with a side of action and romance, you will enjoy reading this book.
