I won’t go into a long monologue telling you what Pack War is all about, since the blurb
for the book does an excellent job of explaining the premises of book 3 in the
City Wolves series, and besides, I hate spoiling things for other readers. Sadly, book 3 is the first book I’ve read in the series, and haven’t had the chance to read books 1 or 2, but I will, just so I gain the overall picture of where this series started from.
I enjoyed reading this book, with only one real point of contention to speak of; the quickness of
the lets do casual, friends with benefits relationship, ended up in a serious relationship rather quickly. To me, a few days into their relationship seemed a little too fast for the “boyfriend” stage for Victor and Farrell, longtime friends and pack mates or not.
I really liked the villain in the story, Gabriel, and wanted more of him, and I felt the author did a good job of giving me action, some suspense, and hot sex. Summing it up, I look forward to reading more of this series, and for readers of the paranormal M/M genre, I’m sure you will enjoy reading Pack War, City Wolves 3 by J.C. Holly.
