Can time forgive the mistakes of the past?

After a six year absence, Lila Crofton has returned to her
hometown of Steeple to bury her father. Hopefully she can avoid Trevor Matheson, her ex-boyfriend, long enough to take care of her business and get back to the city. With everything she's dealing with the last thing she needs is to run into the man who betrayed her and broke her heart.

Recently divorced Sheriff Trevor Matheson is picking up the
pieces of his life. When his high school sweetheart, Lila, returns to Steeple, Trevor sees it as a sign. He's getting over a failed marriage and she's grieving the loss of her dad. They need one another. The timing couldn't be more perfect. But can they move past the events that tore them apart six years ago?

Is there a second chance in their future, or is their stolen love gone forever?

Content Warning: contains graphic sex and strong language

Note: This book has been previously published.

Excerpt:

As Trevor helped Lila up the porch steps, she wrapped her arms around his neck and brushed her lips against his jaw. She hadn't taken her hands off him since they'd left Tate's.

"I love to feel your stubble." She ran her fingers along his cheek. "It's sexy."

"Keys?" He held out his hand and waited as she dug through her bag. She had him rock hard and ready to go. The fact that she'd rested her hand on his thigh the whole ride home hadn't helped matters. It was the alcohol lowering her inhibitions, but that didn't make it any easier not to respond.

"Here they are." She dropped them into his hand. "Come inside with me."

He opened the door and led her into the foyer. As soon as he let her go, she stumbled forward. He caught her by the waist and pulled her against him. He couldn't take his eyes away from her
lips.

"Do you want to kiss me?" Her warm breath caressed his mouth.

More than you know.

"Let me help you upstairs. I don't want you to fall down the steps." He scooped her up and carried her to the staircase. She was so light and dainty. She was still his perfect fit.

"You didn't answer my question." She placed soft, open-mouth kisses along his neck as he made his way to her old bedroom. He remembered sneaking up those steps many times, while her father slept down the hall. They still creaked, but this time he didn't have to worry about getting caught.

"Of course I want to kiss you." He pushed the door open with his shoulder and set her down by the bed.

She closed her eyes and leaned into him. He swiped the hair from her face, took her chin between his fingers, and placed a chaste kiss on her lips.

She opened one eye and peered at him, waiting for more. "That's it?" Disappointment flooded her beautiful features.

"For tonight." He tapped the tip of her nose with his finger. "I want you to remember when I kiss you."

"I'll remember." She wrapped her arms around his neck. "You're not easy to forget."

He pried her arms from his body. "Believe me, I want to, but not tonight."

"Why?"

"Because four hours ago you ran away from me," he said. "Something made you run. Tell me why." He may not have wanted to take advantage of her physically while she was intoxicated, but he didn't see why he couldn't let her drunken lips tell him what she was afraid of.

"I can't."

"You can't what?" He needed to know what she thought about the two of them.

"I'm tired now." She lifted her dress over her head and tossed it in the corner of the room. She stood before him in nothing but her white push-up bra and matching lace thong.

"Hell." He couldn't take his eyes off her toned, tanned body. He mindlessly licked his lips when he discovered her rose-colored nipples poking through the thin, silky material of her bra. Struggling with himself, he tried not to lower his gaze. He lost the battle as he greedily took in her scantily covered sex.

"Want to kiss me now?" She ran her fingers down her neck and over her breasts. "Want to touch me like this?" She moved her hand down her stomach and to the waistband of her panties.

He stepped closer to her and grabbed her wrist. He had to get her to stop or he'd lose all control.

"You want to do it?"

Shades of Rose - A Priestess of Mars by M.E. Brines

Picture
Lilith of Gomorra is a noble Martian priestess who sees love as nothing more than an exercise in naked carnality. But when she discovers a higher form of love, her
faith in the ancient religion turns to doubt and she must choose between her people and the man she loves. The fate of the Earth hangs on her choice.

In 1907 in an alternate steampunk universe where Tesla invented a electric antigravity device that makes steam-powered spacecraft possible, asteroid miners
have discovered ruins that pre-date human civilization. Two expeditions head to Ceres to explore them–an American expedition funded by a wealthy senator, and a
German one organized by the occult Thule Society and led by Aleistar Crowley. But the Martian priesthood and their supernatural allies have infiltrated both and plan to discover the secret of the weapon that shattered the ancient world of Pentara in order to turn it against the Earth.

Can Crowley and his proto-Nazis find the Kaiser a world-dominating weapon? Will the
Martians achieve their apocalyptic revenge against their colonial masters? Whose
side is Lilith on? Her father’s? Crowley’s? Or does she have ambitions of her
own?

Find out. Read A Priestess of Mars!

Excerpt:

The greatest minds of Mars had failed to destroy Earth’s civilization once. They
must not – could not– fail the Masters again.

The light from the brazier flickered off the cold stone of the musty vault, the
scent of old blood tainting the air. A large egg-shaped table stood in the
center of the room, a bizarre mass of clockwork purring beneath the gleaming
surface. Around it stood four men in dark robes… and one woman.

She was young, half the age of the others, and her skin was the color of ebony. Her
lustrous hair cascaded down her back and over the unworn hood of her cloak.
Before her on the table lay an inkpot, quill pen, and a sheet of parchment made
of human skin.

A portly figure in a blood-red satin robe gestured at her with a pudgy finger.

“You. Bring us wine.”

Her eyes narrowed, but she remained silent – and motionless.

The baldheaded man to her left had a pate that shone as if it had been polished. His
robe was darkest silk. Embroidered on its back in gold thread was the symbol of
the High Priest– an eye with flames for lashes inside a pyramid. He spoke with a
voice that belonged in a crypt.

“She isn’t a servant, you gluttonous fool.”

A knocking interrupted.

The High Priest bellowed, “Enter!”

Across the cavernous room a door swung open, revealing torchlight and a pair of guards
in red tunics with polished brass helmets. Short iron swords hung from their
belts, although one had a Colt revolver tucked beside his scabbard. The High
Priest scowled at the sight, but said nothing.

The guard cleared his throat nervously. “Uh, the Elder of the Sacrificial
Brotherhood, Milord.”

Another dark-robed figure entered, giving the guard a wide berth, and bringing the faint
scent of decay with him. An ornate wavy-bladed dagger hung from his sash. Both
it and his fingernails were crusted with some dark, unsavory substance. He
glared at the guard’s Colt as if its mere touch might contaminate him with some
loathsome disease. Gesturing at it with skeletally thin fingers, he sneered at
the portly figure in red.

“Do all your temple guardians bear such Earther….” Sighting the woman, he paused,
his lip curling as he struggled for the proper word. “Devices?” He smirked
contemptuously as he took his place by the table. Behind, the door closed again,
the guards remaining outside.

The portly one shrugged, an almost imperceptible gesture amid his rolls of fat.
“They may be unclean, but they’re effective. Cold steel is fine for unresisting
sacrifices, but the encroachments of the Unbelievers can only be prevented with
superior force. And that means hot lead.”

The High Priest nodded.“Regrettable, but true. Now that we are all here.” He threw a
steely glance at the tardy Elder. “We can now, as the Earthmen say, get down to
business.”

“And that business is?” The speaker, the Keeper of Secrets, wore a black robe that
hung over his sparse frame as if decorating a scarecrow. The wisps of white hair
that rimmed his bald pate gave him an eerie look, like something a grave robber
left behind.

“The destruction of Earth.”

Find Me by Ella Jade

A love that transcends time…

As her 25th birthday approaches, Riley Sparrow begins to dream of a handsome, intriguing stranger. Each night the dreams get more intense and the stranger starts leaving her clues to his whereabouts. The dreams always end
in a whisper…

Find Me. Riley has denied her birthright her entire
life. She descends from a strong line of witches and warlocks, but she's refused her powers up until now. With the help of her estranged grandfather she learns
that her mystery man is from the past and his life is in danger. Will her grandfather help her travel back to 1963 to save the man she believes she's meant to be with? A man she knows nothing about but feels a strong connection to.

If she finds him, can she save him from the evil that haunts them both? By securing his past, she knows there can never be a future for them in her time.

Content Warning: contains sensual sex scenes

Excerpt:

Riley closed her eyes and let the heat of the water engulf her tired muscles. Resting her head against the bath pillow, she cleared her mind. The steam seeped out from the bubbles and swirled around the room. Soon the mirror and windows were fogged and a scented mist surrounded the bathroom, creating a relaxing atmosphere. A week's worth of sleepless nights had taken their toll and Riley drifted off.

The squeak of the faucet and the silence that followed distracted her tranquil thoughts. She opened her eyes to find him sitting on the edge of the tub looking at her. For a moment, she felt
self-conscious. She glanced down and discovered her body covered in thick, white bubbles. He couldn't see anything but the tops of her shoulders, neck, and face.

"Sorry," he said. "I was afraid the water would overflow."

"Am I awake?"

He shook his head. She noted his green eyes sparkled even in the dim lighting of the bathroom.

"Well, then how—"

"It's complicated." His thin, pink lips formed a small smile. "I can't explain now."

"Why not?"

"There isn't enough time to make you understand while you're in your current state. We need much more time. You can get that for us."

"Are you real or am I crazy?"

"I'm very real, just stuck between realms. I've been waiting for you for a long time." He slid off the side of the tub and knelt down on the floor. "I'm afraid I can't stay very long. I
keep trying to figure out how to increase the length of my visits but nothing seems to work."

"I don't know you."

"You will." He reached for the clip in her hair. "May I?"

She nodded.

Once he'd freed her hair from its confines, he smoothed the damp locks out with his hand. "I like when you wear it down. It's so pretty." He continued to stroke her hair. "You're just
as beautiful as I remember."

"How do you know me?" She shifted her position to face him. She breathed in his crisp scent. He smelled of spice, maybe a hint of cinnamon.

"I…" He trailed off when his gaze caught her exposed breasts. He looked lost in a distant memory.

When she'd turned to face him she'd upset the bubbles shielding her. Her nipples hardened as she watched him take in her flesh. She no longer felt embarrassed.

"I have to go."

"You keep leaving me. I don't like it." Each time he left, he took a small piece of her with him.

"That's why you need to find me." He leaned forward. "I know you can. You're very powerful." He brushed his lips against her mouth. A rush of warmth coursed through her and settled between her legs. "Find me, Riley." He kissed the corner of her mouth, lingering a second longer than usual. She took the opportunity to run her tongue along his soft lips. "Find me
now."

"How?" She wanted more than anything to find this man. "What do I need to do?"

"Tucker…" he whispered.

"What?"

Riley slipped off the bath pillow and under the cold water. She quickly sat up and looked
around. The bubbles had evaporated into the freezing water.

Did she turn the faucet off, or did…

I must be crazy.

She thought for a moment. Her mystery man had left her a big clue tonight. Now she needed to figure out what Tucker Sparrow had to do with any of this. It looked as if she would be
paying a visit to a man she hadn't seen in a decade.

Shades of Rose Marketing Presents - Best Fake Day by Tracey Rogers

Faking it never felt so good.

Wedding photographer and romance lover Izzy Latham dreams of finding her own happily-ever-after. When her former teenage crush arrives at her doorstep,
looking sexier than ever, and asks to marry her, it should be her dream come true, right? Wrong. It turns out he doesn't want to actually marry her—he only
wants to pretend to marry her.

Marriage hater Jack Carter will do anything to close his latest business deal, including finding a wife. The only person who can help him is his childhood friend, Izzy.
Except Izzy isn't a little girl anymore. She's definitely all woman, and there's an attraction between them that's hard to ignore.

Jack has to convince Izzy to fake it, but the problem is that she hates to lie.
However, she can't deny her feelings for him either. So when Jack makes her an
offer she can't refuse, she reluctantly agrees to help him out.

Faking it is the easy part. But what happens when fake starts to feel so real?

Content Warning: contains sensual sex and occasional strong language

Excerpt:

"Let me work off the money," Izzy said.

She felt Jack's gaze rake over her body, watched the clench of his jaw. "And how are
you planning to work it off, Isabel?" he almost growled. "Is that what all of
this is about?" he asked as his hand made an indicating sweep over her body.
"Dress to impress so you can pay me in kind?"

"Oh God, no," she spluttered. "This is me showing you I'm not the weak, naïve girl I
used to be and I won't be pushed around!"

The hard glint in his eyes softened slightly. "You were never weak. Naïve…" He
trailed off. "So how exactly were you planning to pay me back?"

"Working here for you for free until I pay you back. I could collect glasses, work the
bar, or clean."

"And you have experience in any of those roles?"

"No. But I could learn."

"But what about the house repairs?"

She shrugged. "I could do that during the daytime and work here at night. Then when
I'm earning again from my day job I'll pay you back."

"And what exactly is your day job?"

"I'm a photographer. I could even do that here. Take photographs of the patrons and
sell them for you."

"You work freelance?”

"I have my own business." She hesitated before elaborating. "As a wedding
photographer," she said quickly, hoping he wouldn't snag the teasing
opportunity.

Too late. The corner of his mouth quirked until it bloomed until a grin. "A wedding
photographer. How appropriate. I knew playing dress-up with your mother's veil
and having teddy bears as your guests would have an influence on you one
day."

"You mean like wanting to have a traditional wedding where the groom doesn't have to
bribe the bride? Yeah, my childhood messed me up real bad," she said with
sarcasm.

"You're not working here, Izzy. And this conversation is over."

"No, it's not. I'm giving you a solution to paying off what I owe. I'll work off the
amount Ellie paid for our debts and the rest you get from her. So when do I
start?"

"You are not working here."

"Why?"

"Do you really want to have some guy groping you as you serve drinks? Or a group of
guys? I run a tight ship and look out for my staff, but sometimes it
happens."

"I can look after myself. I have been groped before, you know. I can deal with
it."

He slid his chair closer, bending his legs so hers surrounded him without touching,
but close, very close. He looked up at her under dark lashes. "So if some guy
puts a hand on your leg you wouldn’t mind?"

She shook her head.

"And if that hand strayed beneath your dress?" he asked as his hand reached out to
graze the sensitive skin of her inner thigh, making her shudder.

She shook her head slowly, earning a dark look. Of course she would mind. But this
was Jack.

He stood abruptly, stepping into the v of her thighs. "And if a guy tried to kiss
you?"

"I have been kissed before, remember?" she said, inwardly cringing at how
breathless she sounded.

"I remember being a boy kissing you as a girl. If I were to kiss you now I wouldn’t
be holding back and I wouldn’t be kissing you as a boy—I’d be kissing you as a
man."

"Then do it," she demanded.

It may be too late for Natasha to escape two she-vamps
with one big secret…

You are cordially invited to the event of the year

The Vampire Masquerade Ball

Sincerely,
Aleese and Eaven

When Natasha Edwards receives a personal invitation to the exclusive Vampire
Masquerade, it's exactly the break she's been waiting for. It's her chance to
impress national news syndicates, not to mention an opportunity to do some
snooping into the disappearances of several women who were last seen within the
Underground sect. But the two she-vamps have other plans for her.

Aleese's infatuation with the sexy news reporter cannot be denied, and Eaven has never
been one to ignore her wife's desires. The blonde beauty is perfect for their
plans, and once she's inside their home, the trap is set. Natasha is easy prey.
She's responsive to their touch, and sweet as honey to taste. They want nothing
more than to indulge their fantasies in every way imaginable.

Natasha finds exquisite pleasure of a kind she's never experienced with the two
dangerous vampires. But when she stumbles upon the truth behind the missing
women, will it be too much for one small-town reporter to handle?

Content Warning: contains explicit language, graphic sex, F/F/F+ ménage, BDSM, oral sex,
spanking, toy play, and voyeurism

Excerpt:

The two women flanking Nat left her feeling fluttery with the odd combination of
awareness and anxiety. The she-vamps could easily eat her whole without a trace
left for the police to find, making her their fourth missing woman. And despite
that niggling of fear in the back of her mind, she couldn't keep her gaze off
Eaven's cleavage. Perfect globes meant to spill from one's hands and, when free
of constraint, sway with every movement. A body like hers was made for seduction
and sexual pleasure. Ripe and lush, to be savored and enjoyed—a hedonist's
playground for delights of the flesh.

Nat swallowed and turned her attention to the other. Aleese aroused her in a
different way. Graceful hand gestures accented her speech, each movement as
fluid as a ballet dancer's. Agile, lithe, and confident in every breath, a study
of symmetry and beauty against her partner's blatant sexual appeal. And her
lips…God, her lips were incredible. Pouty and red, perfect to kiss, perfect to
whisper sweet nothings in someone's ear. Nat's heart rate kicked up, and the
room started a slow spin, like a carousal ride. She stumbled back from her
hosts, needing space.

"I'm sorry, but I need some fresh air," she explained when they shot her questioning
looks.

"Of course." Aleese took her hand and guided her toward a pair of open French doors.
Outside on a small patio, a cool breeze stirred. "We can be a bit much in one
great big swallow."

"I'll be okay. I've had a heavy work schedule."

Which was the truth; the last few weeks had been a madhouse at the station due to
elections in the fall. A good explanation for the way her thoughts dashed this
way and that. Sleep had also been hit-and-miss since she'd received the invite
to the ball. The poise and professionalism she'd planned on bringing with her
had evaporated the moment she'd stepped into the ballroom. Now she felt like a
floundering fish out of water.

Aleese clutched her hand with both of hers, their warmth sending tingles over Nat's
skin. Another thing she hadn't counted on…the attraction she had for the two
vampires.

"We're delighted you could join us. The ball can be so stodgy when it's the same people
year after year." Her eyelashes fluttered. "Having new blood is a real treat."

Nat found herself transfixed with the way Aleese's mouth moved. It took a moment for her
to piece the sentence together.

"I appreciate the invite, though I'm curious as to why you'd want me here."

Aleese peered up, her gaze almost doting. "Eaven and I respect you as a female
reporter. It's such a man's world, and you're making a name for yourself, so why
wouldn't we want to meet you?" She clutched Nat's hand tighter, leaning into her
arm. "So were you one of those little girls who dreamed of attending a vampire
ball?"

Every young girl dreamed of doing such a thing. "Of course."

Nat felt uneasy. Perhaps it was because she stood outside, beneath a full moon, with the
most beautiful vampire she'd ever met. The silvery moonlight gave the she-vamp's
skin an ethereal glow. She wanted to reach out and touch Aleese's cheek to see
if it were as rose petal soft as it looked.

Interview questions… Nat tried to recall the list she'd written and studied days before,
but every single one failed her. Aleese tilted her head, her lips so very close…

Nat cleared her throat. "I understand you've had three women go missing from your
sect." Not what she wanted to open with, but the only question making itself
available in her scrambled brain.

Something glimmered across Aleese's face. An emotion Nat couldn't pin down before her coy
smile returned. "I wouldn't say they've disappeared, we know exactly where they've gone."

"Where?"

Aleese licked her lips, her pink tongue an invitation for Nat's mind to play out vivid
fantasies. Her fingers brushed up Nat's forearm, and Nat suddenly couldn't catch
her breath.

"There you are," Eaven cut in, joining them on the patio. "Feeling better?"

"Yes, yes I am, thank you." Nat tried to move away from Aleese, but found herself trapped
against the patio's rail.

Eaven moved close, so close their breasts touched. Nat met the she-vamp's gaze. Her
eyes reflected the silvery night light, leaving them even more pale and unearthly. Nearly void of color. With no place to run, Nat could only hold her ground and hope her legs didn't fail her. Heat built within her core like an inferno as a sweet ache settled between her thighs.

Eaven looked to her wife. "They are playing our waltz, my love." She moved her
attention to Nat's mouth. "Would you mind if I took the first dance with our new
kitten?"

"Only if I can have the second," Aleese purred in return.
