The Wraith's Mate by Honor James

Davyn had a good life, a job he loved, and a group of men and women he actually called friends. Not that he liked them all the time, some were just plain annoying. But he was missing a very important part of his life, a bond-mate. Having watched many of his friends find their own, all he wants is to  know that kind of love and inner peace.

Dahlia had it all—a good home, loving parents, and a job. Not a great job, but it was a job. Now if she can get her boss to stop being such a sleaze! Then her very world rolls and rumbles, literally. One minute she was on her feet, and  the next a sexy doctor was leaning over her, reassuring her everything would be just fine.

A whirlwind romance, heartache, and there's only one place they want to be—in each other’s arms. The cosmos throws them back together for one last go. Can they make it work?

Dahlia Ramsay should have known when she took the job that it was too good to be true. She had taken a job with a man that she had known since she was a child, a general with the Army at one time who took on working in the private sector when he retired. No, she should have known then that it was far too good to be true, but oh no, she didn’t listen to herself. Not at all. Nope. She was stupid.

She looked up at her boss and frowned. “I’m sorry, what did you say to me?” She surely hadn’t heard
right. There was no way in hell that this man who was at least forty years her senior had asked her out.

“If you want to move up in the office, you need to learn ‘tit for tat,’” he stated and looked,
rudely, at her tits.

“Fuck you, sir,” she muttered darkly and turned to leave the room. When she was about to leave the
entire world shook. “What in the—?” she asked and grabbed onto the doorframe.
She had no idea what happened next, but the very world around her seemed to rock
and roll. Her entire world rumbled around her, and the world went black.

She heard him then. She heard the sound of the man. “Help!” she screamed. “Please, help!” The
building must have crashed. That was the only thing she could think of. The building must have crashed down around them, and because she was inside of the doorframe she had thankfully been somewhat protected, somewhat.

When the large man found her, she reached out a hand to him. “Please? Help me?” She was buried
under far too much rubble still and could barely breathe, but she reached for him, pleaded and begged for help.

“Be still,” he said to her, softly taking her hand in his. Checking her pulse automatically, he
reached out to stroke back her hair with his other hand and checked the wound on
her forehead. Shifting, he pressed the comms. “I have two more live ones, one
female and one male, older. The male appears unconscious, and I’m going to need
a hand getting him free. The female is conscious and coherent, a bit banged up.
Bring in two backboards and collars just to be safe,” he advised before looking
to her again. “It’s all right, I’m a doctor with the Teams working to get
everyone out. Is there anyone besides you and the older gentleman in this area?”
he asked her, pulling out a small light to check her pupil dilation and
reaction.

“No, just me and that old piece of crap who thought it was good to hit on me. He actually thought that
because I’m a twenty-five-year-old virgin I would leap into his bed. Idiot.” All right, so maybe she was more than slightly concussed, but still. “I can’t believe that jackwagon idiot,” she muttered. “Who does that? I mean seriously, who?”

“Dirty old men who think they can get anyone they want because of their position and or influence,”
he told her, gently running his fingers over her head and face. “Couple of good
scrapes, one slightly deeper gouge, but no broken bones,” he said. Digging out a
compress, he applied it to her forehead and continued his check down her neck.
He didn’t feel anything out of place, but he’d feel better after a full set of
X-rays and scans.

“Here.” Tryggr passed him a collar as Mac set one of the two backboards down next to
her.

“Can you go and start getting some of the crap off the older guy?” he asked the jaguar. “Keep him
still if he’s conscious, but ask him his name, the date, and who the president is if he is awake. If he’s unconscious, we’ll deal,” he said, shifting to let Trey and Aiden past him to the guy with Tryg. Looking back at her, he smiled. “I’m going to put on the collar just to be safe. You seem fine, but I prefer to
be overly cautious, especially given you lost consciousness,” he murmured, gently slipping the neck brace around and tightening it properly.

“I would prefer to be overly cautious as well.” She closed her eyes and drifted again. When she came
to it was to the most beautiful man once more over her, and she found herself smiling. “You have got to be an angel, because men simply aren’t as beautiful as you are naturally.” She knew she had lost consciousness again, and that was bad, right? “Hopefully the old bastard broke his you-know-what. Stupid old buzzard,” she grumbled. “I’m Dahlia, who are you?” she asked softly.

“Davyn Montrose,” he murmured with a frown as he continued to check her limbs gently. “Mac, let’s
roll her, and, Tryg, can you slip the backboard in place?” He looked to the others as he settled at her head. “Nice and smooth in three, two, and one.” He held her head between his forearms as he rolled her by her shoulders. “And back in three, two, one,” he said when the backboard was in place. Moving, he strapped her down after covering her with a light thermal blanket. “We’re going
to fly you to the local hospital,” he told her. Digging out a card, he gave it to her. “But you need anything at all, you call me, all right? I have privileges in most of the local hospitals around here, so I don’t mind coming in and butting my nose where it doesn’t belong.”

She took the card and smiled up at him. “Thank you, Davyn Montrose.” She reached a shaky and filthy hand up and touched his cheek. “For saving my butt, thank you.” She winced again
and shuddered. “I seriously hope that I have some drugs waiting for me at the hospital.” She only half teased. Reaching out though, she grabbed the man’s hand with hers. “I’m scared.”

Adult Excerpt

“You declared you needed time alone  in the bathing chamber, yet you reached out to us in your mind as you shaved  this little pussy,” Tynan’s voice rumbled out as he lowered himself to
his knees  so he was perfectly aligned with her now soaking pussy. “It is only fitting that  we should get a tasty treat for being good mates before we dine downstairs.”

“Look at all that sweet juice,” Cael  purred, his voice making Allie’s body clench with need. Allie’s gasp was caught  by Ryder as he swept his tongue deep into her mouth. He swallowed her moan of  pleasure as she felt Tynan stroke his tongue over the bare folds of her pussy.

Tynan growled with pleasure. “She is  delicious.”

“I can smell her cream. Hurry, so we  can have our turn,” Cael ordered.

Allie’s eyes opened wide at his words, and she watched as Cael grinned down at her.

“Yes, mate. Each of us is going to  eat your sweet little pussy until you come in our mouths. Only then we will take  you down to the festival.”

Oh god, she would be a mess by the  time they were through with her. They couldn’t possibly…but they did. Tynan  chose that moment to shove his tongue deep inside her pussy, stabbing and fucking it into her as if it were a small cock.

Allie writhed in ecstasy on the table. Ryder and Cael held her in place, and Tynan continued to fuck her with his tongue. He continued to shove his tongue inside her as he used the flat of end of two of his fingertips to slap lightly on her clit. Before she knew it she  screamed into Ryder’s mouth as she came, her pussy rhythmically clenching on  Tynan’s invading tongue.

When her body settled back down onto  the table, she felt Cael taking Tynan’s place between her legs. Cael immediately  went to work licking and sucking up any stray juice that Tynan had
missed, which  soon had her pussy creaming even more.

Ryder released her and moved back as  Tynan leaned down, sharing the taste of her own juices with her as he kissed her  deep. There was something deeply erotic about tasting herself on her
lover’s  lips right after he had tongue-fucked her to orgasm. Allie reached up and shoved  a hand into his hair, drawing Tynan down closer to her while she felt Ryder’s  mouth close over her breast, sucking onto her aching nipple.

Cael’s hum of pleasure at the taste  of her had her body shaking in pure rapture as she felt the sound settle straight into the tight bud of her clit. As if he heard her, Cael moved up so his lips clasped tightly around the tiny bud, sucking gently while he flicked his tongue over it. Allie’s body began to shake as he continued his tender assault on her body. Suddenly Allie felt Cael shove a long, thick finger into   her clenching pussy. He hooked the finger inside her, rubbing at her G-spot with  such accuracy it brought her to another startling release that made her cry out  into Tynan’s mouth.

When Cael was finished, he pulled  back and stood up. Tynan and Cael stared down at her with love burning in their  glowing eyes. Cael reached out to stroke his large hand over her platinum-blond  hair while Tynan rubbed his hands over her breasts, massaging them gently,  making her moan.

Allie’s eyes flew open as she raised  her head to look down at Ryder, who had taken up position between her parted  thighs. “Oh god,” she moaned as she felt an oiled finger slowly making
its way  up the tight channel of her ass, parting the tight muscles to gain entry. Ryder  sent her a wicked grin before he began to lick and suck at her pussy while fucking his finger into her ass in a steady rhythm.

“You are so beautiful when you come,  little one.” Tynan growled softly as Ryder continued to torture her body with  exquisite pleasure.

“I wish we could eat your pussy all  the time, spread you out for us to taste and suck whenever we wished,” Cael added.

“She was so tight on my tongue,” Tynan said to his brother, “it is a wonder that we can fit our cocks into that hot, silky heaven.”

“Oh, but she likes it when we shove  our cocks into her.” Cael looked down at Allie as she lay panting on the table,  moments away from another shattering climax. “You like it when we fuck
our cocks so deep that you feel every spurt of our hot seed when we release inside you,  right, Allison?”

The combination of their words and  Ryder sucking on her clit with his finger stroking her ass made her explode. It  was so overwhelming she sobbed out as she came, tears leaking down the side of  her face. Ryder pulled back and placed a soft kiss on her bare mound as Tynan  gathered her into his arms. Cael stroked his hand over her hair as Allie tried  to pull herself together. She moved to pull her legs together, but Ryder and  Cael held her still as Ryder gently cleansed her skin of any
traces of their play with a soft cloth.

Tynan and Cael each picked up their  own cloth. Tynan used his to clean the tears from her cheeks as Cael stroked the  soft material over her body. When they were finish cleaning her, Tynan lifted  the deep-red dress and smiled down at her. “Lift your arms for me, mate.”

Like a child, Allie did what he  asked and let him dress her. Thoroughly sated, she looked at each of them in confusion. “What about you? You didn’t—”

Cael pressed a finger to her lips to  still her words. “This was for you.”

“Your pleasure is ours,” Ryder replied solemnly.

Wow, Allie thought. At times like this she was damn glad to be stuck in their world.

Out Of The Ordinary by Naomi Bellina

After a devastating fiasco on her wedding day, still-single Star Lite longs for peace and quiet to nurse her broken heart.   Instead of the uneventful summer vacation she has planned, she's transported to a strange planet with even stranger inhabitants, and an irritating but sexy man named Adam who claims he's a magician. Star senses danger in this place, and
her  suspicions are confirmed, as the two humans witness a bizarre display of power  from a mad king. They form an uneasy bond and work past their differences as  they look for a way to escape, and attempt to reason with two sensuous pixies,  who are trying to protect their ruler. When the king makes a foolish
decision,  danger threatens the entire planet. Not one to give up without a fight, Star  reluctantly agrees to a sexual experiment, where she discovers her untapped  power of magic, and opens her heart to the possibility of love.

Excerpt:

Esme began to rub Star’s neck, and  Star sighed. Esme's strong hands felt good on Star’s tight muscles. Slipping  away to la-la land, Star remembered she had a mission and pulled her
mind back  to the present.

“So, tell me about this party. Is  everybody I saw at the dinner table a guest? Where do they come
  from?”

“Yes, they’re all guests from our  home planet, Kastra. King Gaius likes to have company at his parties so he invites—” Esme suddenly stopped. “I’m not supposed to talk to you. I’m sorry.
Here, I forgot to turn on the music. You just listen and relax. I'm going to apply a clay facial mask. We'll let it set while I work on your legs and feet. It will help smooth out those blotches in your complexion.”

Esme flipped a switch and a melodic,  pleasing tune began to play.

Do I have a blotchy complexion? Esme needs to talk to those diplomatic relations people. Star knew she would get  nothing more from the young pixie, so she let herself drift off and enjoy
the  experience. Her mind wandered to picture Adam  standing naked near the hot tub. She didn’t want to think about that particular  scene, she needed to focus on a way to get out of there. But her
brain had ideas  of its own, and naked Adam would not disappear. It hardly seemed worth the  effort to try to think of something else, and he really did look quite divine,  so she let her imagination roam.

In her fantasy, she rose from the  tub to greet him. She had the body of an Olympic athlete, and hair from a shampoo commercial. Her skin was certainly not blotchy and her teeth were white as pearls. There were no annoying pixies around for miles.

They hugged, a firm, loving embrace.  Both of their bodies were warm. Adam’s hands travelled down her back and  caressed her butt, squeezing her firm cheeks. She explored his body, touching  every inch of delicious skin she could reach. His cock grew hard and pressed  into her stomach and moisture formed between her legs. She stood on her toes and  rubbed her pussy against his cock, eliciting a deep moan from  him.

Their lips met and Star and Adam kissed, not one of those tender, sweet butterfly kisses that drove her crazy with wanting more. This was a hungry, passionate invasion, both of them tasting each other’s mouth, him biting her lower lip to just this side of pain. The kind  of kiss that set her mouth on fire and almost left bruises, the kind Star loved.

His hand stroked her breast, cupping  and squeezing the firm flesh, and just as he lowered his head to suck her aching nipple, Star felt something cold and wet on her cheek.
Is that Adam’s tongue? She  jumped.

“Sorry to startle you. The clay is a  little cool at first, but it will warm up,” Esme said.

With a sigh, Star’s allowed her mind  to drift back to reality. Damn, it had been a good long time since she’d had a  daydream like that. Her pussy was wet and wanting, and raw desire throbbed  through her body. Even though she was scared, something about this place had  awakened her senses. She actually felt more alive and vibrant than she had in a  long time. As annoying as Adam was, a deep desire for him coursed through her.  His teasing manner in the hot tub had been for her benefit, she
was sure, to  help her relax and his words had been sincere—he really did think she had a nice body.

She would have smiled with pleasure  had her face not been solidified by the clay mask. This sensation was a welcome  change of pace from the emptiness that had greeted her each day for
the past  year, and Adam was certainly a delightful break from the men she knew.
He was  strong and seemed smart, without being a bore. His sense of humour, well, anyone  who could keep his wits about him under these circumstances was extraordinary.  She found she looked forward to their next encounter, clothed or not.

Interview with Vallory Vance

Picture
BIO:

Vallory Vance is a color inside the lines, Human Resources professional living in the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex by day. After her family consisting of a husband of almost twenty years, three kids and two dogs have filled her evenings with laughter, she sits down to her laptop to write tales of the first moments of falling in love when nothing else seems to matter.

As a fortieth birthday present to herself, she decided to share her stories of romances that range from sweet to spicy with use of an occasional prop.

How long have you been an author?

I began writing plays and poetry in college then stopped. When I turned 40, I
started publishing articles through online outlets. In 2012, I published my
first romantic short story with Amira Press and I don’t think I’ll stop writing
again.

Have there been any surprises along the way?

Since I’ve been writing, I’ve discovered so many sub-genres of writing. I guess I was
stuck in a kind of literary bubble until I met other writers.

Why this story? What was your inspiration to write it?

Déjà Vu and the rest of the Rose Gold Collection actually started as a short story
about three women in different stages of their lives who are talking on a
mundane Friday afternoon at work and then go on to have the weekend of their
dreams. It was intended to show that romance is possible at any stage of our
lives.

One incident that started me on this exploration happened the day before Valentine’s
Day 2012. As usual I was taking the train into work. A man, most likely in his
mid-sixties, steps into the aisle and a woman, probably late fifties, takes the
window seat next to him. They talk about the weather, their jobs and their adult
children. Then she asks if he had a chance to try that recipe she had given him.
Yes, he says and invites her over to try it tomorrow night - Valentine’s
Day.

At the same time, me and the woman next to me grunt – Oh! We look at each and
giggle. We’d both been eavesdropping, but also seen that age doesn’t limit your
chance at romance!

What was your favorite part of the book to write?

I loved writing Darcey and Vincent in the kitchen enjoying dinner and talking
about their lives. I like simple scenes in romantic works where the couple isn’t
skydiving or racing down a river, but just sitting and talking and really
getting to know each other along with the reader.

Is there a message you want your readers to take away from this book?

I like what Darcey has to say –
You can’t custom order me from a magazine. We are all unique and deserve love that is uniquely ours.

Do you have any other upcoming releases or projects you would like to talk about?

I’m working on the second installment of The Rose Gold Collection, A Loving Affair
and hope to have it on the virtual shelves by the end of the year.

Where can readers find you?

Fun Questions:

Who is on your "to be read" shelf?

Anne George and Walter Mosley are next up in the queue.

What are you reading now?

The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi (summer reading for my daughter and
mom needs to help)

If you could only pick one book from your childhood to preserve for others to read,
what would it be?

Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein

How do you find your muse?

She finds me. I just type.

Where is your favorite spot to write?

I like writing in my room once the kids have gone to sleep.

What book do you think should be made into a movie?

The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King!

Picture
Darcey St. Claire is never surprised when a man is attracted to her. In fact, her style revolves around that assumption. From her short skirts to her thigh-high boots to her flirty laugh, Darcey flits along the edge of provocation to sell the overpriced services of the Hayden Court Hotel and afford her the spot as top
Sales Manager.

So the lustful looks Vincent Guidry cast in her direction didn't faze her. It was the feeling of déjà vu creeping up her spine that made her run at breakneck speed away from the handsome former quarterback.

And she wouldn't have ever sought him out again. Not for herself. But there was someone else to consider…

“You could work for me. I told you about the reception hall in the Northern
Bluffs.”

Her head popped up, bright eyes and a seductive smile. “You just want me at your
 disposal.”

He did. He wanted her all the time. He hadn’t felt like this since Melissa three
years ago; an attorney he’d met at some event. In the end, Melissa hadn’t been
able to deal with his work schedule and he hadn’t been willing to deviate from it.

But for Darcey.

He had rescheduled meetings, delegated authority, actually taken a vacation to be
close to her and have those bright eyes shining down on him. “I love you.” The
words were expelled by the crushing sensation in his chest and he waited.

What he wanted was for her to say that she loved him as well. What he expected was
an argument about the nothing serious rule. What she did was startling.

Darcey backed away from him as if he had mutated into some sort of monster. “I’m
tired. I think I’m going to take a shower and go to bed. I have to be up early.” She flew out of the room.

 T
hat was their end. The sinking feeling in his belly and the emptiness of the room
told him he was right. Apparently, what lay beyond nothing serious was a deal
breaker.

SOR - Dark Tales Diaries: Volume Two by London Saint James

Blackthorn Printing made a splash in the publishing world with the introduction of Dark Tales Diaries, yet despite his efforts, Tristan Blackthorn isn’t any closer to finding the woman he seeks. Unwilling to give up on his lost love, his search for Keira continues in Volume Two.

A voyeuristic moment leads an astronomy professor and his assistant to a steamy endeavor on The Observation Deck.

An invitation for cocktails has the reclusive woman who lives in 204-B pondering why the handsome, wealthy owner of her building would invite her to anything. Does she have enough guts to go to The Top Floor?

And a Maestro strikes the right cord with a young and talented cellist who is trying to find her passion.

Excerpt:

“Come on, Tristan,” Keira said, giggling playfully as she shut her
  diary.

“What new story have you added? One of love? Intrigue? A tale of the forbidden?” I inquired while eyeing the leather bound book.

Keira laid it aside, and rose to her feet. “I’ll read them to you,
someday.”

She slipped out of her white cotton dress, leaving her sandals in the wake of snow-colored material at my feet. I leaned my back against the trunk of the tree, pretending to rest, but in
truth, rest was the furthest thing from my mind.

Keira twirled on the ball of her foot, more graceful than any dancer.

     “Do that again,” I said.

The sun broke through the leaves on the trees, and set her long raven tresses into brilliant highlights that shimmered in deepened shades of blue-black. I couldn’t take my eyes off her. She
alone encapsulated perfection, with her small, pert breasts slightly covered by her long hair, and when she moved, the gumdrop point of a pale-pink nipple peeked through some of the strands. She raised her arms above her head, giving me a full view of her extended frame, and did something of a provocative pirouette before turning to face the pond.

Her slender waist gave way to rounded hips that swayed seductively as she tiptoed, nude, toward the edge of the water. She stuck one toe in, and looked at me over her slender shoulder. Her
jewel-green eyes penetrated my soul.

Keira twisted her long hair up, and used the dark pieces that fell from her fingers to weave her
tresses into a tied-off knot, freeing the canvas of her back. The dappled shade that fell from one of the overhanging branches caressed the curve of her spine like a long lost lover, and in that instant I wanted to kiss the dimples above her heart-shaped ass. The thought stirred up something much more
primal.

      “Are you coming?” she asked.

When Keira licked the plumpness of her lips, my cock ached for her.

“Definitely,” I said, and stood from my shaded spot under the oak, toeing off my shoes in a hurry, before ridding myself of my shirt and pants.

Once free of my clothing, I bounded toward her. She grinned and jumped before my hand made contact with her arm. I wasted no time, and followed in behind her. Our heads popped to the
surface in unison, with her joyous laughter filling the air.

“I bet you can’t catch me,” she taunted in a cutesy voice before diving beneath the murky
pool.

I studied the trail of bubbles and waves she made, guessing where she might come up, then made my way onto the grassy bank, crossed over the plank bridge, and hopped into the water off the
south bank. When she resurfaced, I snatched her up.

“Got you,” I said, and placed a kiss to her lips.

She wiggled. Her moist mouth left mine. “No fair, Tristan. You were supposed to swim and catch me, not cheat, and wait until I ran out of air.”

“You never outlined the rules. And besides, I play to win.”

Keira, shook her head. Water rolled along her nose, over her parted lips, and down her chin before the wandering drop found its home in the pond.

“I know you do,” she said, rubbing her nose against mine. “That’s one of the things I love about
you.”

“What else do you love about me?”

      “I’m not telling.”

I placed my lips to her tempting neck, traced a line with the tip of my nose to the end of her ear, and sucked her lobe into my mouth. “What if I persuade you to tell me?”

She moaned my name, and draped her arms around my neck. “Don’t stop doing that, and I might be persuaded.”

Keira wrapped her long legs around my waist. The head of my hard cock slipped between our two intertwined bodies. She pressed herself against me, tighter. Warmth worked its way through
my essence as I slid my manhood in-between her parted lower lips. I wanted to explore all of her with my hands, my dick, and my mouth. One hand remained on the back of her slim neck while the other left her lower back to discover the wonder of her ass. Flames, not water lapped at my skin with a desire beyond words.

About the Author:

London wrote her first short story in the second grade.  Her teacher informed her parents London had a big imagination, but having a big imagination wasn’t necessarily a good thing as far as he was
concerned.  Without watering that seed of imagination, London placed her vivid characters, her childhood stories, along with her imagination on the shelf, where they would wither for a while.  At the urging of her eighth grade English teacher, London pulled her imagination off that shelf, and wrote
her second short story.  To no surprise, it was a love story inspired by a song.  Then as life does, it moves on, so yet again London placed her imagination on the shelf to wither for a while.  She needed to do the “sensible thing.”

The sensible thing earned London a degree in Psychology, but while in college she traversed into writing once more, and was encouraged by a couple of professors to pursue that endeavor.  She took on the world of written word, and has never looked back.

London writes erotic romance from sweet to downright naughty.  She is an author for Evernight Publishing, a member of the Romance Writers of America, and a member of Passionate
Ink.
